This aerodynamic paddle flies through the air swiftly and features an elongated shape for ultimate reach.

The 14mm core provides a softer feel and is comprised of T-700 carbon fiber which utilizes Gearbox's Solid Span Technology, a solid core that is ribbed and provides excellent durability and playability and expands out to the edge of the paddle face.

The paddle face features hyper-bite spin technology which is composed of ribbed 3K carbon fiber along with advanced texture and coating to maximize spin and bite on the ball.

The carbon fiber edgeless frame has been reinforced with additional protection on the top corners to increase the paddle's lifespan. A longer handle is perfect for two-handed backhands.

Overall, this paddle offers premium playability and is perfect for those wanting a honeycomb feel with superb durability in an elongated design.

Solid Paddle, Well Balanced, Good Customer Service.

Coming from a long history badminton player, I am looking for a mid-weight paddle that have more control in front of the net. Based the reviews I read on the internet, this Gearbox should be a forgiving and soft paddle. But I find it is not.

Before purchasing, I emailed Larry a few times about his website and he get back to me in very short time which make the transaction smoothly. I am very pleased that he provide answers fairly quickly every single time.

I consider myself a 4.0 to 4.5 player and my strong side is quick go back and forth in front of the net.
I used Selkirk Invikta Gen1, Head Radical XL Gen2, and bunch of Manta paddles before purchased Gearbox CX14E which feels like Head with quick "pop" response to the ball rather than "soft". Maybe the polymer core just give me a better feeling, I think I still like the Selkirk a bit better. Another downside of the carbon surface is smoother than other coated surface. I find it give less spin than other rougher surface.

Gearbox is beautify paddle and the balance is better than all the paddles that I have used. I am sure the all carbon construction will last it for a long time.

Trust the service of Racquet Science, I might purchase one more Selkirk Vanguard 2.0 from Larry for my upgrade.
