Rocket science makes it right.

After I wrote a review on the Ronbus EV paddle, I was writing the review on the Paddle not on Racquet Science . After a discussion with Larry came to agreement to solve my concerns. Larry went over and above what he had to do to make me happy and keep me as a customer ‘mike.

Paddle face receives scuff marks when playing outside courts

I really liked the paddle once I got used to it, but concern started just with a brief play on outside court. Scuff marks started to appear some of them deep enough that you can detect them with your fingernails. I know the Paddle face is painted, but I didn’t expect the indentations caused by the roughness of the Franklin outdoor balls I was using. I am returning the EV Paddle.

What a feeling!

I really like my racquet. Very powerful and at the same time good feeling when touching the ball, not to mention a considerable reduction in noise which makes it even more pleasant to play. Only one thing that I deplore is that after only two hours of play, its surface was already beginning to be scratched?

Ronbus EV1.16 - Power, Control AND Comfort

I recently got my new EV1 from Racquet Science. It arrived pretty quickly after I ordered it given that the Easter holidays intervened.

I got a chance to play with it the day after I received it. I must say I really liked it. Using the EV1 relative to my old fiberglass racquet felt almost like cheating…the power and control were effortless. In fact I had to be careful not to hit too hard, especially when I was given a floater….and the spin I could put on the ball was excellent. Actually one of my playing partners asked if I was using a new racquet because he noticed my spin shots, as well as the quieter sound.

The racquet was also very easy on my arm. A technician doing an ultrasound on one of my body parts referred to me as an "aged athlete". I’ve had rotator cuff surgery and I have a bone chip in my elbow which makes that joint a bit sore if I overdo it…no problems on my first time out with the EV1. My wife also has arm issues and I’m thinking the EV1 could be a good racquet for her too…she could use a bit more power without having to swing harder. Once she tries it I have a feeling I may be coming back to Racquet Science for another one.

A final note: the whole experience of dealing with the folks at Racquet Science was a pleasure.
