CRBN Trufoam Genesis 2

Probably the best paddle I've tested / owned.

The area outside the sweet spot doesn't have fiberglass. This sometimes helps with not popping up drinks but also sometimes kills the ball if you missed the sweets pot. Still trying to get used to it but there's plenty of power, pop but still controllable.

Currently using it stock as with tungsten tape I found it too heavy for me.

If you play all court style, I find this paddle really shines.

Excellent Purchase Experience

The CRBN Genesis TF2 is a fantastic Paddle and there are some great reviews of it by far more knowledgeable people than I that are available on YouTube so I will focus the attention of my review on the Customer Experience with Racket Science.

This was my first purchase with RS and it was first class all the way, going beyond my expectations.

My order was processed on a Long Weekend and I was prepared for a potential delay in shipping as a result. To my pleasant surprise the order was processed and delivered very quickly (within Ontario, but over 6 hours from the RS Store). So nice to get the Paddle that fast, a big thank you to the Team at RS!

Communication about the purchase was very efficient and informative, and the folks at RS went above and beyond other online retailers I have done business with.

While my order was being delivered I received an email from the Owner welcoming me as a RS Customer, along with other emails pointing me towards helpful Tips and information about Pickleball. It was a personal touch I appreciated.

Great paddle!

I have owned my CRBN Genesis 2 for about 2 weeks now and I really like it. It seems to create a lot of spin partly due to the carbon fibre grit surface and partly due to extended dwell time, provided by its foam core. As well it seems have a lot of pop and power. Because of its shape and weighting it has a very low swing weight which makes resets easier. Its high twist weight gives it a large sweet spot. Coming from a Joola Collin Johns Scorpeus it plays very similar. With that paddle durability was a problem. My first had the edge guard start to come off within a few weeks. The warranty replacement lasted longer but it too eventually had its edge guard become completely loose so I had to glue it back on. As well it was getting core crushing by about 6 months of ownership. I don’t think I’ll buy another honeycomb core paddle, and I hope that the foam core in my CRBN lasts longer. I have customized it with one of the silicone honeycomb overgrips with a second overgrip covering it, because the CRBN has a pretty small diameter handle at 4.25”. I’ve also added 3 gram lead weight strips at the 10 and 2 o’clock positions. This has helped give it a bit more power and ploughthrough. The only downside is the high price, but it does have the newest technology out there. Overall it is a great paddle as long as it lasts for at least a year.

Great paddle!

I really enjoy playing with this paddle. Incredible spin and plenty of pop and power for aggressive shots. Soft shots are easy to control as well. The paddle just seems to do everything well. Thanks Racquet Science for suggesting this.
