Asics Gel Blast 7 (Ladies)
Asics has changed up the Blast model again with the 7 series and in our opinion this has been a change for the good. For players who wear through the medial side of their shoes from toe drag the Blast 7 looks to be far superior to the new Asics Domain 4 or Fastball series.
The Blast 7 is made for indoor court sports, women.
One interesting shoe technology of the Blast 7 is Dynamic Wrap. It resembles athletic taping of ankles that will hold the midsole firmly in place so that movements can be made safely and securely. Fit is adjustable when you lace up your shoes and can accommodate a wide range of preferences.
The main trade offs of the Blast 7 compared to the Domain 4 and Fastball series are weight and ventilation. Durability and stability are the strengths of the new Blast 7.
Time will tell what is more popular (and court time) and we are certainly keen to hear players feedback. Be sure to write a review if you have the inclination.
Shoe features:
- Gel Cushioning – heel and forefoot
- PHF (personal heel fit) – 2 layers of memory foam around the ankle that forms to your nooks and crannies.
- IGS (impact guidance system) – allows the foot to track properly upon landing to prevent ankle twist
- Dynamic Wrap – simulates ankle taping to secure the midfoot for rapid court movements.
